Dance Mission

3316 24th St., San Francisco, 7 p.m. 'til ??

Wine/Art Auction, pot luck buffet, entertainment and speakers (TBA).

$10 minimum donation will be requested.

Josh Wolf, a freelance blogger and videographer, is in the federal jail in Dublin

because he insists on upholding the First Amendment. He was taken into custody Aug. 1

for refusing to let a federal grand jury have unedited footage that he shot during an

anti-G-8 demonstration in San Francisco on July 8, 2005.

An appeal before the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is pending. Meantime, Josh's

legal expenses continue to pile up, and he needs help paying rent in order to keep his

apartment.

So a group of folks, led by a feisty, take-no-prisoners blogger/journalist named h.

brown, has organized a bash for next Saturday to aid his cause.

Look here for more information as we get it.
